How did that message really make you feel?

Phone calls seem to be so last year, and popular messaging apps are on the rise. It’s only right that they keep up to date with fancy, yet necessary, features on their apps.

WhatsApp is one of these popular messaging apps, with many of us using it daily. It’s like the modern day BBM – which is BlackBerry Messenger for those not familiar.

You can set a profile photo, a status to tell everyone what you’re doing, and send messages to other people using WhatsApp.

You can also make calls using your data allowance or Wi-Fi or enjoy a nice group chat with your friends.

There are a whole bunch of features you can make use of on WhatsApp but we’re here to discuss one in particular that’s got us excited.

For those of you with iPhones, you’ll be familiar with the feature that allows you to react to iMessage using hearts, thumbs up and down, exclamation marks and more.

You can probably see where this is going, but it turns out you can actually react to WhatsApp messages using similar responses. Here’s what we know.

No reaction is an overreaction.

WhatsApp message reactions are ready and waiting for you. Reacting to a message is easy peasy and can be done in a few easy steps.

1) Launch the WhatsApp app.

2) Open a conversation and long press on the message you want to react to.

3) Choose one of the six emoji that present themselves.

4) Your reaction will appear on the message.

Voila! The person you’re speaking with will be able to view your reaction instantly.

If a slip of the finger means you’ve accidentally added a reaction, fear not. You can remove them as quick as you add them.

So, if in a mood you added a snarky reaction or have laughed at a rather unfortunate message by accident, simply remove the reaction.

1) Launch the WhatsApp app.

2) Tap the emoji at the bottom of the message you’ve reacted to.

3) When the pop up appears, tap your reaction to remove it from the message.

If you don’t have the energy to type out a long-winded response, these message reactions are perfect.

A picture speaks a thousand words.

Message reactions are a great way of getting your point across, without having to type anything at all.

This handy feature will not only save you time, but let’s face it, it’s fun too. The only thing you’re missing is a swanky new mobile to try this out on. Luckily for you, we’ve got incredible deals on some of the very best. With free delivery too!
